MEET THE FOUNDERS

Keith and Maya Durkin

Keith and Maya Durkin have dedicated over 30 years to ministry work in Mexico. Their journey began with children’s ministry, church planting, pastoring, feeding programs, and community development. Maya, with a background in both Christian and public education, has served as a public school teacher, district Sunday School coordinator, and director of a special needs school. Together, they have two married children, Misha (28) married to Yulian Rodriguez, and A.J. (26) married to Eveling. Their passion is to pioneer ministries and bring people to Christ.

Our Calling and Journey

A Journey of Faith and Resilience

About 10 years ago, Keith suffered ministry burnout and clinical depression. After a season of recuperation, Keith and Maya moved to Tijuana, Mexico, to direct a children’s feeding program. There, they were invited to help feed Haitian refugees in Tijuana’s red light district, Zona Norte. This area, notorious for prostitution, human trafficking, drug addiction, deportees, and migrants, became the focus of their new ministry. They felt led to start Mexico RED (Relationships, Evangelism, and Discipleship) to minister to the prostitutes and their children through education and feeding programs. Today, their team serves about 3,500 meals monthly to street people and children attending two education programs

VISION

"The Great Compassion"

Our mission is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the children and people we serve. Inspired by Matthew 25:35, we provide food, education, and shelter to those in need.

We also run a safe house for women and children in abusive situations and migrants needing temporary shelter.

Through Mexico RED, we aim to bring hope and transformation to the most vulnerable in Tijuana

MISSION

"Reaching and Feeding"

The Zona Norte center in Tijuana is dedicated to building a long-term, trusting relationship with the community, fostering a sense of unity and support.

Reach out to educate, feed, and aid children in needy situations, ensure they receive the necessary resources.

Extend a warm welcome in the name of Jesus, creating nurturing and compassionate environment for all.
